THE ESSENCE. IT JUST MAKES SENSE.
A shipping container isn’t merely an inspiration—it’s the essence of IURI. This industrial object, conceived in 1956 and largely unchanged since, symbolizes the backbone of global movement. From afar, they resemble Lego blocks drifting across oceans; up close, they represent the unseen architecture of our interconnected lives. Without them, everyday moments—like enjoying a banana or connecting via smartphone—might not exist. It contains. It carries. The connection to leather goods is clear.
FORM = DESIGN = FUNCTION
IURI re-imagines and transforms the utility of the shipping container into a moving design object with attitude and function.
Design is approached architecturally. Every line, angle, and edge is intentional. The aesthetic balances minimalism with maximalism: clean structures paired with bold colors and playful details form the core of IURI’s aesthetic. This duality offers space for personal self-expression within a framework of precision.
The result is a collection of objects that are both functional and expressive—designed to carry not only your essentials, but the energy of movement, travel, freedom and future memory.
EXPLORE, EXPRESS, EXPERIENCE
IURI is for the joyful, positive, on-the-move moments. For infinite curiosity and journeys to explore, express, and experience. If IURI were a city, it would be New York—Jure’s favorite place of imagination, dreams, and unpredictable ideas. In a word: Freedom.
THE FOUNDER
Jure Stropnik is an aesthete and strategic thinker whose vision transcends fashion. With a background in business studies in Ljubljana and Berlin, followed by a Master’s in Fashion Brand Management from Istituto Marangoni in Milan, Jure’s 15 years in the fashion and luxury industry have been shaped by cities like Milan, Paris, and New York.
His expertise spans brand management, creative direction, and retail development—particularly in leather goods and accessories. But for Jure, IURI is more than a brand. It’s a manifestation of his belief that design should move beyond functionality to create long-lasting impact.
With IURI, Jure is not just creating products, but icons—objects that resonate with people and adapt to their journeys. Through IURI’s future retail and hospitality projects, including IURI Caffè, IURI Room, and the IURI Building, he is crafting a lifestyle ecosystem that embodies freedom, self-expression, and a forward-thinking spirit.
